Property Organization Tips

Naming Conventions

Use consistent naming:

  • ✅ "Beach House A", "Beach House B", "Beach House C"
  • ✅ "Downtown Loft 1", "Downtown Loft 2"
  • ✅ "Mountain Cabin - Sunrise", "Mountain Cabin - Sunset"

Avoid:

  • ❌ "Property 1", "Property 2" (not descriptive)

  • ❌ Using only numbers (hard to remember)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I change a property name after creating it?

A: Yes! Edit anytime. The URL stays the same, but the displayed name updates everywhere.

Q: What happens to bookings if I delete a property?

A: All bookings for that property are deleted. Export booking data first if you need to keep it.

Q: Can I transfer a property to another GuestLoop account?

A: Not directly. Contact support for property transfers between accounts.

Q: Is there a property template feature?

A: Not yet, but coming soon! You'll be able to duplicate properties with all settings.

Q: Can I have the same property on multiple accounts?

A: No. Each property can only exist in one GuestLoop account. Use team members for shared access instead.

Q: Do I need a separate property for each bedroom in a house?

A: No. One property = one rental unit. If you rent the whole house, it's one property.
