Overview

Property Settings is your control center for customizing how your guidebook looks, behaves, and captures guest information. This guide covers every setting available.


Accessing Property Settings

  1. Go to Dashboard → Properties
  2. Click on your property card
  3. Click the ⚙️ Settings tab (or gear icon)

1. Basic Information

Property Details

Field Description Example
Property Name Display name shown to guests "Mountain View Cabin"
Property Address Full address for map/directions "123 Pine Road, Aspen, CO"
Property Type Category for theming Cabin, Beach House, Apartment, etc.
Time Zone Used for check-in/out times America/Denver

Check-in/Check-out Times

Check-in:  3:00 PM (default)
Check-out: 11:00 AM (default)

These times are displayed in your guidebook and used for:

  • SMS timing (send guidebook before check-in)
  • Access code windows
  • Automation triggers

2. Branding & Appearance

Logo Upload

Tier Required: 💼 Business Plan

Upload your property or business logo:

  • Recommended size: 200x200px (square) or 400x100px (horizontal)
  • Formats: PNG, JPG, SVG
  • Max size: 2MB

The logo appears in:

  • Guidebook header
  • Email campaigns
  • QR code landing pages

Brand Colors

Tier Required: 💼 Business Plan

Customize your guidebook colors:

Setting Description Default
Primary Color Headers, buttons, accents Purple (#7C3AED)
Secondary Color Links, highlights Pink (#EC4899)
Background Page background White (#FFFFFF)

Tip: Use your existing brand colors for consistency with your website.

Theme Selection

Choose from 6 pre-built themes:

Theme Style Best For
Modern Clean, minimal Urban apartments
Elegant Sophisticated, refined Luxury properties
Classic Traditional, warm Historic homes
Minimalist Ultra-simple Design-focused
Retro Vintage-inspired Themed properties
Historic Period-appropriate Heritage listings

3. Header Images / Carousel

Adding Header Images

Your guidebook can display 1-5 hero images in a carousel:

  1. Click "Add Image"
  2. Upload or paste URL
  3. Drag to reorder
  4. Set cover image (shown first)

Recommended specs:

  • Size: 1920x1080px (16:9 ratio)
  • Format: JPG or PNG
  • Max size: 5MB per image

Image Sources

  • Upload from your computer
  • Paste image URL
  • Use Unsplash integration (search stock photos)

4. Email Gate Configuration

The email gate captures guest information before they access your guidebook.

Enable/Disable Email Gate

☑️ Require email to access guidebook

When enabled: Guests must enter email before viewing content
When disabled: Guidebook is publicly accessible

Gate Fields

Configure which fields to collect:

Field Required? Notes
Email Always Primary capture field
Name Optional Pre-fills from booking if available
Phone Optional Enables SMS follow-ups
Marketing Consent Recommended GDPR compliance checkbox

Gate Messaging

Customize the email gate copy:

Title: "Welcome to Mountain View Cabin!"
Subtitle: "Enter your email to access WiFi, house rules, and local tips."
Button: "Access Guidebook"

5. Access Code Settings

New Feature! Access codes add a security layer before the email gate.

Enable Access Codes

☑️ Require access code for guidebook

When enabled:

  1. Each booking gets a unique 6-character code
  2. Guests enter code → then email → access granted
  3. Multiple guests per booking can use the same code

6. Blog / Local Guide Settings

Enable blog functionality for SEO and guest engagement.

Enable Local Guide

☑️ Show Local Guide tab in guidebook

When enabled:

  • "Local Guide" tab appears in guidebook navigation
  • Blog posts display to guests
  • Public posts are indexable by search engines

Blog Settings

Setting Description
Blog Enabled Master toggle
Show in Guidebook Display blog tab
Default Visibility Draft, Published, Public
Booking URL Link for "Book Now" CTAs

CTA Customization

Customize the call-to-action in blog posts:

CTA Text: "Ready to Book?"
CTA Subtext: "Check availability and book your stay directly."
Button Text: "Book Now"
Button URL: https://your-booking-site.com

7. Guest Access Controls

Public Content

Decide what's visible without authentication:

Content Type Default Can Change?
Blog Posts Public ✅ Per-post
Map / POIs Public
WiFi Password Private
House Rules Private
Check-in Instructions Private

SEO Settings

☑️ Allow search engines to index blog posts
☐ Allow search engines to index guidebook (not recommended)

Note: Private guidebook content is always protected with noindex, nofollow meta tags.


8. Notification Settings

Host Notifications

Configure when you receive alerts:

Event Email SMS Push
New guest captured
Upsell purchased
Review submitted
SMS reply received

Notification Email

Set the email address for property notifications:

notifications@yourcompany.com

9. Integration Settings

Connected Services

View and manage connected integrations:

Integration Status Actions
Lodgify ✅ Connected Sync / Disconnect
Stripe ✅ Connected Manage / Disconnect
Booking.com 🔄 Pending Complete Setup

Sync Settings

For connected PMS integrations:

☑️ Auto-sync bookings (every 15 minutes)
☑️ Auto-create guest profiles
☐ Auto-send guidebook SMS

10. Danger Zone

Archive Property

Archiving hides the property from your dashboard:

  • Bookings and guests are preserved
  • Guidebook goes offline
  • Can be restored anytime
[Archive Property] → Requires confirmation

Delete Property

Warning: This action cannot be undone!

Deleting removes:

  • All bookings
  • All guest data
  • All guidebook content
  • All analytics
[Delete Property] → Requires typing property name

For Maximum Email Capture

  1. Keep email gate enabled
  2. Use compelling gate copy
  3. Mention WiFi as the value exchange
  4. Don't ask for too many fields

  3. Use consistent header images
  4. Include your booking URL

For Guest Experience

  1. Set accurate check-in/out times
  2. Enable Local Guide with helpful posts
